the doc has left the Pharmacy?

by the way I went through your country a couple weeks ago on our way to Jellystone. We spent one night in Lander on the way up to see Yogi. Of "Yogi and Boo Boo" fame, not the other Yogi.

Re: Doc Waldo and the Pride of California

I think Jellystone is the greatest place on the planet, other than perhaps The Haven.
It is fun to try to find places their that are off the beaten path and get away from the other tourists.

We took a one way dirt road called the Blackfoot Plateau heading east from Mammoth Hot Springs.

We hardly saw any traffic till we rounded this curve and came across about 5 or 6 vehicles parked along the roadside. Then we saw about 10 people up on this ridge with their tripods out. Somebody told me there had been a black bear mama with her cub.

Sure enough after a couple of minutes we saw the two bears about 150 yards away in the sagebrush at the edge of some spruce. We watched them for a few minutes then I went back to the car to get my binocs. Suddenly a coyote ran in front of my car and headed into the bears direction.

I thought surely you aint gonna try anything Coyote. Soon I heard the tripod people screaming and it was the coyote being chased away by the mama bear. Appparently the coyote was going after the cub. It was a great wildlife moment.

Up above was Marlon in the helicopter. You too could be bothered by coyotes, however with Mutual of Omaha you will be worry free.

:Waldo: If you would have driven 50 moles east of the park, you would have been in my former home town of Cody, named after and founded by Buffalo Bill Cody.As for your wlldlife adventures I had several closer ones than that in my younger days although most of the closest calls were experienced by my Dad.In Wyoming the non-human animals outnumber the human ones.
