Re: Amber meets Ringo and Barb at a Bonfire in England
Todd just looks a tad nasty to me!
Most of Ringo's (as Merlin) dialogue is on the movie soundtrack between songs. I have listened to it a million times since the mid 70's when I bought a few copies from the dollar bin. I know during the outro with Harry Nilssons song 'The Moonbeam Song' playing in the background that Count and Merlin discuss what he can look forward to as a Mortal. Below is an paraphrase of what is said..
Countdown: "And Amber?"
Merlin (Ringo): I think she will remember you. Go Go! The Nether World much like the Human World thinks it takes care of itself. And it probably does"

Re: Amber meets Ringo and Barb at a Bonfire in England
That was a great story Amber. I cant even imagine something like that.
Speaking of Todd Rundgren, my wife and I were front row center for a Ringo concert (her birthday), and Todd came out into the crowd playing a guitar solo. In typical style, the wife practically tackles him and ruins the guitar solo. he didnt look pleased.
Ringo also wore my seahawk hat that I threw on stage. No, he didnt throw it back. Probably went straight to the garbage can afterwards.

Re: Amber meets Ringo and Barb at a Bonfire in England
Thanks again, everyone. I wish I could put into words what it really was like. After I watched them drive off, I just turned around and walked back to my hotel completely dazed and confused. I got back to my room and just sat on my bed... I didn't know what to do with myself. A few mintues later, Sandi and Susan knocked on my door and told me that the "X Factor" was on. Like American Idol, it is live. I could see Mark sitting in the front row of the audience, seated directly behind Sharon Osbourne (the set up is just like AI. Some virtually unknown judge on one end, Sharon-the girl judge- in the middle and Simon Cowell on the end). A few minutes later they showed Sharon, but the seat that Mark was sitting in was empty. I had horrible visions of Mark sitting there, enjoying the show when all of a sudden his cell phone vibrates in his coat pocket. He pulls the phone out and sees that it's Ringo and excuses himself to go take the call. He answers to find a rabid Ringo saying, "Who the hell is Amber? Tell her to stay away from our house and our bonfire!" Of course nothing like that happened... at least not as far as I know! I emailed Mark about a week later to see if Barbara ever did say anything to him. He told me that they caught a flight back to America the next morning and he hadn't talked to them since before the bonfire night. Damn the luck! I caught a flight back to America the next morning, too. No Starkeys were on my plane as far as i could see ;) Not that I'm complaining, though.
I gave Mark copies of all the pictures that Sandi and I took along with a thank you card. Hopefully, they find their way to Ringo and Barbara. I have great faith that Barbara would remember me if we were to ever meet again. I don't know if Ringo would or not. I talked with Barbara for what seemed like a long time; probably about 10-15 minutes in reality but it seemed like an eternity at the time.

Todd didn't actually come out into the audience at the show I was at, but he did step down onto a speaker or something that was on the floor. Like your wife, I took off after him. He was playing guitar and I untied his shoe. Seems like a very stupid thing to do now, but at the time I was just happy to be able to acknowledge him. (Glad I don't buckle under the pressure of famous musicians, right ;) Anyway, he shook his foot at me and smiled. I tied it back for him and he turned around and got back on the stage. That was a great concert.
I was also able to get a drumstick of Todd's. He sang "Bang the Drum All Day" and brought out a snare and some sticks. At the end of the song he threw the sticks straight up in the air and I caught one of them. Well, I caught it along with my mom and the guy standing beside my mom. We fought with him for a few seconds before he finally gave up and let go. That was just luck that I was able to get the stick, too. The guitar pic, however, was suppose to be for me. Todd did a couple of fake throws to me before he actually threw it. I didn't catch the pic, but I dove for it and grabbed it with my hand. The guy beside my mom tried to step on it and stepped on my hand instead
Ringo threw a towel out into the audience, but it ended up going into like the fifth row and a couple of women grabbed it and they fought HARD for that towel! Could you imagine getting a Ringo towel?!

Re: Amber meets Ringo and Barb at a Bonfire in England
Former poster Travis caught a Ringo sweat towel in Rosemont (I think that was where, ax Harry B) and thus has not spoken to us since. It could also be cause I called him a queer!
