McCartney's Best Album is....
Have we done this one before?
Who cares....the best Macca is....not Band on the Run, but Ram. I used to think Ram as Paul's Sgt. Pepper, but now I realize it's his White Album (which was by the way the best Fab record.)
More to come later. Or not.

:hea: For some reason I had a feeling you were going to pick that one.I love the Admiral Halsey song, but Band On The Run packs more punch.I really liked the song he wrote for pc,Let Me Roll It.

Re: McCartney's Best Album is....
I'll agree with 'RAM' and disagree with Harry on 'Chaos And Creation' as I think its one of his top 5 efforts.
'Flaming Pie' is probably my 2nd favorite of Pauls though.

Re: McCartney's Best Album is....
I love Pie, I think it is the best of latter-period Mac. Paul the Balladeer is in fine form on that one, and some good rockers too.
Musn't forget the Ringo collorabation either. Always felt Paul was juiced from working on anthology and he had a lot of energy for Pie.
Great Day, from Pie, is on the soundtrack to Funny People, which as we know thanks to Ratty Road-also has Photograph on the soundtrack. Watching the Wheels is on there too, and a cover of Real Love by Sandler.

Re: McCartney's Best Album is....
By and large, I think "C&C" is a big sulk, almost devoid of memorable melodies...except for two...and the melodies are memorable because one is from Curtis Mayfield and the other melody is "Flaming Pie". (I'm sure y'all can figger out which two songs I'm talking about.) Anyroad, I think the best song on it is "Riding to Vanity Fair" since it's the only one that Macca seems genuinely emotionally involved in...since it's just the biggest sulk on the album.

Re: McCartney's Best Album is....
Well there you go. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that album as I think 'Riding To Vanity Fair' is the worst song on it, but hey, what do I know.

Re: McCartney's Best Album is....
Paul sulks. There, I said it. Think Paul's quality control started trending downward in the Linda/Heather transitional period. He sounds a lot less lost musically now...but oddly bass adverse.
