What if?
My guess is that considering that the "Yellow Submarine" album came out in the US before the UK, and has different packaging, there was no intent on the part of the Beatles or Apple to ever release it...being forced into it by Capitol. So...what if? What if there had been no "Yellow Submarine" album? What if they released "All Together Now"/"Only A Northern Song" as the follow up to "Hey Jude", wrapped up a Christmas #1 in the UK (at least), then followed that up in early 1969 with "Hey Bulldog"/"It's All Too Much". Would this have bought them enough time and desire to turn the "Get Back" tapes over to George Martin, do few overdubs, and have a polished album out in the summer of of 1969? Ending the year, and the '60s with "Abbey Road"? Would this have inspired them to headline a festival, say Isle of Wight?

Re: What if?
What if John never met Yoko ? What if Paul decided to put his name solely on the songs he wrote in The Beatles ? What if the Get Back project happened according to plan and the boys played an actual concert ? What if Brian Epstein wouldn't have died. What if Paul's Father-In-Law managed The Beatles ?
What if Paul was dead ?

Re: What if?
What if John had never met Yoko? She'd be known as Mrs. Flux. Around 1966, Paul was looking for ways to cut John out of the songwriting credits...John had even announced that he & Paul would be working on "The Family Way" score after the last tour. Or the Barnard Webb credit for "Woman".

Re: What if?
am sure Paul didn't mind getting half credit for Give Peace a Chance for twenty some odd years.

Re: What if?
he does it in concert now I thin so he can get concert video and cd revenue from it in, all in the name of doing it for the Love of John!

Re: What if?
no kiddin...the Lennon medley he used to perform were all Lennon/McCartney copyrights...and oh yeah his contribution to the Lennon tribute concert (via video) "PS Love Me Do"...neither of which John had nothing to do with...apart from his name.
