Re: For the Good Doc! A review of sorts.

for months prior to his nashville trip, ringo had recorded one of his own compositions in london with a little help from bassist klas voorman, guitarist steven stills, and george harrison, who contributed some highly beatleish(crackish)guitar hooks and also produced in the best spector style. but ''it dont come easy'' rested in the can for thirteen months, during the course of which harrison overdubbed a chewy horn section, when the single finally materiralized in april 1971,however,it gave quite a jolt to those who supposed ringo incapable of turning outa memorable and commercial record,''it dont come easy'' not only scored him a gold single all his own,but easily outshoneand out sold john's power to the people, paul's ''another day'' and george's ''banga desh'' all unleashed at roughly the same time...

I think George wrote most, if not all, of It Don't Come Easy. Proceed with the egg throwing.

but, back to It Don't come Easy..you are probably right Doc, the title sounds Ringo-y. The opening guitar part and melody sound like George. I'd guess 70-30 George...regardless, I always thought this tune was the most Beatle like of all the solo tunes.
