Re: Steve A's New York Adventures
first we'll start with the airports.
I seem to draw the dreaded SSSS every time and this trip was no exception both coming and going.
For those that don't know, and I didn't until recently, when you go to the airline check-in, the airline attendant has the option of designating you as "SSSS". It's their way of "randomly" selecting travelers for a more detailed search.
I told my kid that the next time we fly somewhere, if there is a next time, that we should wear turbans and robes then maybe we'd get to go in the express boarding line.
When they see the overweight white guys coming with kids, it's like the panic button goes off.
"OK sir, would you please head over to the rectal exam area?"
Like my kid quipped after our "patdown" at JFK: "geez Dad the screener didn't even take me to a movie first."

Re: Steve A's New York Adventures
My bad.
speaking of "bad", I did get a gyro from you-know-who's gyro wagon. And I gave him the name of my dentist in case he ever comes to Colorado.

Re: Steve A's New York Adventures
Your crew is in the minority as far as having a Bossman they can enjoy working with. The nephews are very sentimental about theh 'World Trade center' as they visited it once yet have no problem with the prospect of their Grandmothers Home being tore torn if they move in. Guess air condtioning and other modern comforts outweigh sentimentality, and I guess maybe it should in this modern World.
Dr Johnny said there is no room in this modern instant gratification World for us sentimentalist. Daddy and Ma bought the Clay avenue Home in 1949 and Daddy built on to double it's size as well as building the Garage that is also plneed for demolition!
