Li'l' Known Fax...

1. By way of denying a rampant rumour (started by the head of the UN, Paul threw his telegram away, John sent his best regards to those great sailing men, the Boat People) that the last Wings concert would be a Beatles reunion, Paul informed the audience that the rhythm box used on "Goodnight Tonight" was not John Lennon. (No word on whether it was Yoko.)
Gleaned from "Wingspan" (the book, and amazing but true, a project years in the making was largely based on an interview with Paul that took place over a span of two days):
2. All this time I've been comparing life in the Navy to "the rock star life". Paul compares the rock star life to "a sailor's life". Sunshine life for...someone!
3. Wouldn't know it from any of the publicity, videos, interviews, picture sleeve, etc., but Joe English played drums on "Mull Of Kintyre".
4. Paul wished Jimmy McCulloch wouldn't have quit before "Mull Of Kintyre" since he was Scotish.

My own conjecture: According to Paul (and Linda's pics), George was not at the meeting where John announced that he wanted a divorce. Amazingly, this was after the meeting where John guaranteed George a certain amount of songs on all future Beatles albums. Well, draw yer own conclusion.

Well, if anybody else owns "Wingspan" (the book, and why not, it's an easy read, and kinda funny where one photo's caption identifies the members of Wings as roadies), and were wondering about the "!@#$ HOT ROCKING" sign...it's an obscure reference. In anticipation of a Wings Over America tour, Crawdaddy Magazine (and how many remember that one?) sent a reporter over to England to cover the '75 British tour and "Speed Of Sound" sessions. (Bonus trivia: Denny was greatly responsible for the set list.) For the "Silly Love Songs" sessions, it began with just Joe English's drum part with Paul directing from the board. Paul's comment on Joe's performance: "!@#$ hot rocking."

but batt shot billy in the back or did he,they were buddies at one time....and it said that batt wouldn't shoot him in the back because they were once friends.years later a man calling himself billy the kid went to the court house to have the charges against him dissmissed and allow billy to no longer be claimed an outlaw.the state of texas could not prove he was billy and denied his request.they didn't have enough evidence to prove that he wasn't either.he was left handed and had some of the same scars even..........
