The Office

if you get a chance, check out "The Office".
This is a BBC sitcom. The first season was in 2001, I think, and the second season was in 2003 and just came out on DVD this year.
both seasons have 6 episodes each. It about an office in a city called Slough. The company is called Wernham Hogg. The show focuses on the office manager-David Brent, who is the sort of guy you love to hate. He prides himself on being a comedian turned entertainment director who happens to be the supervisor. It is a British comedy and is done in a pseudo-docu-drama style.
Anyone here seen it?

Haven't seen it but Brit comedies in general are hysterical, and some of the actors are really quite good.

I have a hard time understanding Brit humor.
The British slang is difficult to grasp and most of the humor is sexual innuendos. They really hammer on the gays over there. It seems to be more accepted but being politically correct isn't the norm, like it is here.

The Office is one of the finest sitcoms ever made...I'm an American and I'm never lost (there's only really been a couple British references really, and I knew all about Ali G and Absolutely Fabulous)....honestly, you don't have to be from the UK to get it, in fact a very similar American version will be airing on NBC during midseason...however, I suggest that you check out the original DVDs if you get the chance.

The voice of Paul in Yellow Submarine plays Onslow in 'Keeping Up Appearnces'! The postman in that same show is played by the kid from 'Hard Days Night' who walks and talks with Ringo in the riverside scene!
