If you keep picking on Paulie PC, we're going to have some problems.

I think Sentimental Journey holds up pretty well...thats why I suggested the Sentimental Journey Live show.

my top 5 klunkers (or bottom 5) would be

Pipes of Peace-

Sometime in New York City-but hurry up with the remastered disc YO.

Rock n' Roll-I used to love this disc...and John's singing is great, but it gets on the list because of Phil's awful production.
Whoever thought Spector could produce the Beatles either as a group or individually...

Press to Play-I don't.

Ringo the 4th-in honor of Ratman

Pipes of Peace and McCartney II are bottom feeders too.
John and Elephant's Memory ? Not a good combination. I always thought John was low by stealing KING KONG from Zappa and putting it on his album credited to him as the writer. Come on John.

Re: Bottom 5 of the worst solo efforts :

The only ones I can think of to put on the 5 are all Paul's. Not being mean. Just that the only "official" solo Fab album I've never liked is "Driving Rain". Coulda been better, maybe if it had fewer songs. Or no David Kahne. Or no Pro Tools. Then I'd throw in "The Making Of 'James Paul McCartney' for being possibly the world's most annoying bootleg, containing an entire track of Linda's camera clicks. And all Paul's classical stuff, since seriously...HAS ANYONE BUT PAUL LISTENED TO ANY OF IT MORE THAN ONCE? Particular mention should go to "A Garland For Linda" simply since MPL tried (and failed miserably) to pass it off as a Paul album (only one track is a McCartney composition, and beyond Linda dying, he had nil to do with any of the other selections), and MPL berating fans in the "Wide Prairie" club for not buying mass quantities, and reminding them that a #1 in the classical charts meant selling about 5 copies.

paul did a sound collage wgich was annoying. It's okay to fool around in the studio and then let the stuff sit on the shelf but to release it and have people, who are fans, buy it because it's Paul Mc Cartney, is wrong.

I'm not big on Driving Rain...the title song is decent enough and comes off well in concert.

I wish Paul would do what he does best...and record a whole album of acoustic originals...I think the closest he has come yet to doing that is Flaming Pie which has 4 or 5 ballads.
