posticon Jolly Old St Beach Boy Tom51 Claus!!

Why for did Uncle Tom not tell me about the Beach Boys Ultimate Christmas Collection? I thought it was just a rehash of their early 60's Christmas album so I had not gotten it yet. I was in a convinience store last night and heard what I swore sounded like late 70's Beach Boys singing the words 'Christmas time is here again' to the tune 'Peggy Sue'.

The music genious at the counter said she was pretty sure it was not the Beach Boys but I knew beter. Just could not imagine such a wunnerful tune getting past me. But it was just last year before I discovered my fave Christmas song of late, the Monkee's mid 70's 'Christmas is my time of year'. I found there are other reworked songs from their 'M.I.U.' album made into Christmas song. Mostly Al Jardine. He also nearly solo did the remake hit of 'Come and Go with Me', which tells me again Al Jardine needed and still needs to do a solo album.

Peter Tork finally did a solo album a few years ago but it does not sound so much like a Peter Tork album sounds in my head like it would have if he had done one back in the 70's!

I didn't tell ya 'cuz I didn't know about it 'cuz I don't listen to that Stuff. I got I Wanna Be Santa Claus, Jingle Bell Rock, The Complete Beatles Christmas Collection, and the Ultimate Beatles Christmas Collection.

Why would I want anything else? (Well, actually I would like to land the I Wanna Be Santa Claus outtakes, which have yet to surface, and also the 1965 Christmas message outtakes that have just surfaced, so if anybody's got leads on them let me know!)

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken!! I knew there was a resident Beach Boy fan and I was thinking it was you. I knew it was a West Coast Dumhead so maybe the real one will step forward!!

I did this Tue you before with the 'WKRP' topic when it should have been on 'Ed's page!!

You were thinking of our old friend Captain S from L.A. He's the one that paid a zillion bucks to go to the 500 seater dinner where Paulie did the duets with Brian Wilson. He also knew Elliot Mintz. He was a good guy, but I am afraid that Captain S is probably gone for good though - he got sick of the sambob show last spring, left, and never came back. Can ya blame him?

Hey where'd you get my picture? P.S. - I'm the one in the middle. This photo is from the time when we were warming up our ukes before we played backup on the Don Ho Christmas Show live from Panama City!
