Ask Miss LL!

The Oldest Nephew ordered tickets for the Daytona 500 from someone in England off of E-Bay. He feels he has been scammed and the person has blocked his e-mails! He sent the money via Western Union so I suggested he contact the fraud department of Western Union and E-bay. Any other suggestions?

The local Newspaper office is 2 blocks from the House and LL has ridin by it! You have any idea what kind of jobs and benefits might a newspaper offer a fat boy like me?

 Can dogs Look Up?

Sorry for Nephew's misfortune and the resulting unpleasantness.

Contacting Ebay and Western Union are top on the list. There is also a community board on Ebay where your nephew can query others in handling the situation. Ebay representatives monitor and answer questions from these community boards. It will also alert others about this seller, etc. Another way to contact this person (always save the emails to a file before sending) is through the Ebay message center on the listing and in the official ebay end of auction email. You can always use a new email account through hotmail or yahoo or even ebay for that matter....

As to the mewspaper jobs: only way to know is check their website and / or apply. Perhaps call and make an appointment to talk to the personel manager for the next day you have off. Benefit questions are always an expected part of the interview process. Now it seems that benefits are ALWAYS company or at least union / job classification wide. Any health benefits would be like getting a higher wage even if the pay for a new job there is the same as now.

Miss Ll...

What means "Puts light in window"? Is this an old tradition when cold snowy conditions approach?
