Who's paying for Gossip?

I just went online to pre-order me one of the copies of Photograph with the DVD 'cuz the videos is all I really wanted for Christmas anyway because the world is round and because I've already bought all of the albums that all of the songs are on, many of them more than wonst anyway, but the real story here is that while I was snooping around online to find out who would sell that thing to me for the cheapest I saw that Patti Boyd Harrison Clapton Boyd has gone and wrote a book and it gets released one the same day as Photograph.

Now that my friends is news! You can bet I'm going to read that sucker! I've become very skeptical of Beatles books over the years as there's just so much trash out there - There's the popular canon of works that tells over and over a few variations on the same story lines that all of us know by heart, and then there's speculative liar trash written by gold-digging crypt kickers with last names like Brown, Goldman, and Giuliano. Meanwhile we've got Lewisohn locked away in a basement somewhere living on bread and water until he finishes the three part masterpiece that sounds to me less and less like a book and more and more like some ill informed attempt at alchemical action meant to forge the Hunter Davies story anew turning it into a pseudo Lord of the Rings epic, and while all eyes are on that topic of re-forging the sword that was broken and no one is looking, out comes Cynthia Lennon's "John" in 2005 and now this new sword-buster!

Will it contain a bunch of over-glossed hyped up sensationalistic Austin Powers type shagadelic nonsense news of doubtful veracity? Most definitely. But will it contain some juicy but absolutely true nuggets that were previously unknown to yours truly that got inadvertently inserted into the text while working up to the shagadelic nonsense? Most definitely, and I'm looking forward to the attempt to learn and discern which is which.

Look for more on this topic come October or November once I've had the chance to read the book.

Boys I wishied that Maureen and Linda had had the chance to write their books afore the grim reaper came to call!

Later Losers and best wishes to you all - Uncle Tom

I heard tell that the award for biggest wanker went to Alfonso. In fact, in Montgomery they refer to it as the "Tucker Monument".

And as to Cynthia Lennon staying cool in her book and passing on the opportunity to allow anger/envy/and/or vitriol into her book - it's human nature as we age and get faced with our own mortality to feel a need to set the record straight on our own past and it also becomes imperative to make our own peace with that same past.

That's why these books are so important, and it's also why books by third parties like Peter Brown are so unimportant.

Remember Grand Funk's 'American Band'? The lyric....sweet,sweet Connie who treats me right.....Connie ? name, is notorious for being the GROUPIE of all groupies. To this day, she attends concerts all over the world. She started her 'career' back in the early 70's. Her preference for 'pleasing the band, and crew, and anyone affiliated w/the band; is down under jobs. She stated in an interview, " I can do more guys in less time.....Keith Moon, did her w/a banana....w/an audiance. Cut to end, when asked, "who has the biggest/smallest in rock n' roll?" Peter Frampton is very small, and she feels sorry for him, Huey Lewis is big. BTW, she did attend Ringo and the A. S., yet she only got a pair of his drum sticks......He wouldn't let her have her way w/him. Ringo Coolness Factor. This is not gossip. I'll try and find the interview, and post it. Ya'll must think I'm penis obsessed.....well I am, and where is my husband, I know, toys.......;-)
