that play proves my point. LaMarr Woodley clips Tim Hightower towards the end of the play. No call.
The clip is around the 30 yd line.

I have no problem with the refs asserting themselves but call it both ways, they didn't.
The NFL has a pro-East coast bias. How do you explain Shannon Sharpe not being a first ballot Hall of Famer? It's because most of his career was spent in Denver.

Re: Pearl's Super Bowl Predictions
:mmt: You're right,he was shoved in the back. It's a different sport, but the Kings were playing Montreal Saturday in Montreal and the NHL in their infinite wisdom had both refs working the game be guys that were born and raised in Montreal. The Kings were winning 3-2 with a little over 2 minutes left and Higgins of Montreal goes in on Doughty, throws him to the ice with his free hand and scores the tying goal. That is virtually always called a penalty these days, but not in this game. Then to top it off, right after the ensuing faceoff they makeup a crosschecking penalty on the Kings, the Canadiens score the winning goal and we get zilch.

Re: Pearl's Super Bowl Predictions
Maybe that is why afterall these years baseball is still my favorite sport, the umps don't seem to impact the game as much as the other sports.
