Hey Steve
:mc: Paul did a song from his Fireman album that you like so much on Letterman.I thought it sounded pretty good, but I couldn't understand the lyrics and therefore have no clue what the title was.It was a good show.

SING THE CHANGES, Paul McCartney
(lyrics are written by Fireman)
Like the sun playing in the morning
feel the quiet feel the thunder
Oh every ladder leads to heaven
call it ransom draw the picture
Sing the changes oh as you're sleeping
feel the quiet in the thunder
sing the changes calling over
feel the quiet in the thunder
Like the sun playing in the morning
feel the quiet feel the thunder
oh every ladder leads to heaven
colored pencils draw the picture
sing your praises as you're sleeping
sing the changes any wonder
feel the sense of childlike wonder
sing your praises as you're sleeping
sing the changes oh as you're sleeping
feel the quiet in the thunder
sing the changes calling over
feel the quiet in the thunder
sing your praises as your sleeping
feel the quiet in the thunder
sing the changes caling over
everybody has a sense of childlike wonder
Oh Ahhh yeah
(sense of wonder)
sing your praises as you're sleeping
feel the quiet in the thunder
sing the changes calling over
everybody has a sense of
childlike wonder
It was a good show and the crowd seemed to have a FAB time.
The download of the special internet concert with this
dialup connection was only frame by frame by frame for hours
and then dumped before completing but
worth the stare, anyway....

Re: Hey Steve
Apparently there were more tunes played for the assembled multitude, as I've seen a clip of "Band on the Run".

Re: Hey Steve
Yes, and the internet concert was yet more (different than the tv broadcast) tunes. Can't tell you what the songs were on the internet concert because it was visual frame by frame only, no sound could be interpreted....
sigh.
*tries again....

Re: Hey Steve
No Doc-I also watch live TV. Especially sports. And I still read newspapers.
I enjoyed the Macca appearance on Dave. Sing the Changes is one of the better mactunes of the 2000's.
I thought Paul gave a Beatle-esque answer to Dave's question about not being on the show when he replied "I don't like yer show, Dave".
did get tix to see him in Tulsa. I had wanted to see a show on this mini-tour and Tulsa is drive-able from here.

Re: Hey Steve
You two are not the only tv watchers. Was multi-tasking, tv and computer and, believe it or not, video taping the tv show (hooked the conversion box up through the vcr tuner so taping is still an option on this NON-cable, antenna driven tv.
*Rabbit ears rule
So, when is Sir RINGO going to be on tv next????

Re: Hey Steve
:hea: That seems really odd that he would play Tulsa and not Denver,Steve.Tulsa is smaller, not as nice, hotter, just an all around strange choice over Denver.Anyway, enjoy the show.

Re: Hey Steve
Its at a new place called the BOK Center, It's a year old, and it's their one-year anniversary, my guess is they threw a lot of money at Paul to get him to come their. It's his only indoor arena show of the tour.
But yeah yoou are right it's going to be real hot there in August
