Re: Ringo Tour 2012

I just got back from my trip to see Ringo. I had a blast. It was a great show, and I even heard Ringo telling the All Starrs right before the show was over that he was having a real good time tonight. We were on the front row and I brought peace signs, light up head bopper peace signs, a peace and love towel and A 1965 ringo blow up doll. They were patting people down on the way through the gates and the guy got to me and said you look very peaceful i don't need to pat you down and let me walk right thru. Then Mark Riverra saw the blow doll wearing the peace head boppers and he gave me the thumbs up and the peace sign. Then during Todds last song he played no instrument, he just sang, I saw the light. Well about half way thru the song Todd walked all the way across the stage to right in front of me. He motioned for my light up peace sign head boppers and put them on and wore them around the stage before returning them to me. Also Greg Rolie's piano was right in front of us and after he did his Santana songs he would look at me kinda like, How was that, and I'd nod and smile back.
I stronly urge you all to go see this tour it was one of my favorites of the 5 have seen.

Re: Ringo Tour 2012

Mark Riverra was on stage before the concert started. My wife said look thats Mark Riverra and it did look like him. I didn't believe her, it was Mark. He was on stage a good 20 minutes before the show started. And dumb me I could have told him how glad I was that he was back in the All Starrs. Me and Cathy both really like Mark. So he saw me sitting there with the Ringo blow up doll, but I did not put the peace sign head boppers on the dolls head until the show started. So that's why he chuckled and gave me the thumbs up, and the peace sign, when he walked back on stage to start the show.He liked Little Ringo's Head Boppers!

emoticon Thanks for the review,Mark. How much did you pay for the tickets? They're a little on the high side here in LA.

Re: Ringo Tour 2012

I think we paid right around 150- 200 a ticket. It seems the prices in Alabama were really cheap compared to everywhere else. Any other venues we could find front row tickets were like 400 to 500 a piece. Also I have since learned that it was the first time a Beatle has ever had a show in Alabama. It was about a 10 hour drive for us to the concert but we took 2 days to get there and took a tour of the track at Talladega Alabama, and went thru the nascar museum there the morning of the concert.Evertime I see Ringo I hear he says not enough peace and love in the world so I try to show Ringo some peace and love at the concerts.I tell you when Ringo's time is up in this world it will truley be a sad day for us peace and love fans. Thank you Ringo for carrying on for our beloved John! He was right You Are The Greatest.
